Pink Floyd guitaris David Gilmour performed at the “virtual 60th birthday” of the late Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. David performed Wish You Were Here and also played guitar on “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” which was sung by Procol Harum’s Gary Brooker.
The backing band on the night included guitarist Robbie McIntosh, percussionist Jodi Linscott, synth player Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens, singer Margo Buchanan, bassist Dave Bronze and Paul Beavis on drums.
